Marketing your business during the corona virus pandemic is difficult. People are scared and your operations are limited. Here are 3 ways to help your business thrive during this pandemic.
But first we need to clarify what is marketing?
Oxford Dictionary defines it as “The action or business of promoting and selling products or services. “
REALLY!? MARKETING IS ACTUALLY “THE PRACTICE OF MEMORIZATION”
MY DEFINITION : “The act of informing others about your product or service repeatedly.”
Think of all of the advertisements you’ve seen from major companies. The photos may change, the videos may change, but their message remains the same.
We know these brands slogans BECAUSE WE’VE HEARD THEM REPEATEDLY
“YOUR BRAND IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT INVESTMENT YOU CAN MAKE IN YOU BUSINESS.” STEVE FORBES
Covid-19 has affected us in so many ways. Many business are hurting. Our schools and care centers have to adhere to new regulations and our elderly are severely at risk. With all these on peoples minds how can we effectively market and truly care for our customers.
MAKE IT A BIG DEAL
Capitalize on the emotional excitement by offer an incentive. Make sure it’s tempting and then tie your incentive to a deadline. We make purchases based on our emotion and not logic. When a customer sees a deadline attached to an incentive they are much more likely to make a purchase. People are excited to be out shopping and are actually spending more. Take advantage of this time.
INVEST IN YOUR CUSTOMERS
Address your customers worries and concerns during this time. Truly Care about them and go beyond what is expected of you. You could possibly provide a small bottle of hand sanitizer with a purchase or make a well designed mask with your company slogan or logo. If you know your customer has kids provide a simple activity kit for their kids. Be creative. It doesn’t have to be expensive. A simple act will go a long way and create evangelists for your company. Think about the problems your particular clients may be facing in their personal lives because of covid and how you can ease that pain just a little.
PARTNER WITH OTHERS
We are in this together always be the one who gives more. Be a generous brand No one has have ever turned away from a generous brand. The most successful brands are often the most generous.
